All-occasion Holiday Cookies
  • 3cups unbaked pie shell
  • 1 1/4cups INGREDIENTS:
  • 1cup shortening
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2teaspoons butter
  • bout muffins, each split in half
  1. sift dry ingredients together, add shortening and mix with fork
  2. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing with fork also
  3. Mixture will be very thick so add milk a little at a time, up to 1/4-cup , until mixture is workable
  4. Roll thin on a floured surface
  5. Cut into desired shapes
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for about eight minutes
  7. Makes about four dozen
  8. Icing: While cookies cool, make icing by mixing one box of confectioner’s sugar with just enough hot water to make a creamy icing
  9. Add a few drops of food coloring to make them more festive
  10. Ice cookies and let icing set before storing
