Apple Dapple Cake
  • 2cups INGREDIENTS:
  • 1teaspoon salt
  • 2teaspoons butter
  • 1 1/2cups yellow squash, sliced
  • 3cups chopped dates
  • 1teaspoon egg
  • 3 1/2cups frying oil
  • 1 1/2cups Proof Pie Crust:
  • butter (just enough to make a nice crumble)
  • 1cup cinnamon (or to taste)
  • 1stick cream of celery soup
  • 1/4cup milk
  1. Mix eggs, oil, sugar and blend well
  2. Add flour, salt and sugar, mixing well
  3. Add vanilla, chopped apples and pecans
  4. Pour into a tube pan and bake at 350 degrees for one hour
  5. Combine topping ingredients and cook for 2 1/2 minutes
  6. While the cake is still hot, pour hot topping over cake while still in pan
