Instructions
  1. Wash, core and quarter apples
  2. Remove any bruised portions
  3. Add water and cook until softened
  4. Press through a sieve to remove skins
  5. Add sugar and bring to a boil
  6. Pack applesauce while boiling hot
  7. Pack into sterilized jars to within 1/2 inch of the top
  8. Put on cap and screw band firmly
  9. Process 25 minutes in boiling water bath
  10. Yields about 4 pints
