Bread and Butter Pickles
  • 30 ground lean beef
  • 8white onions
  • 2large can of crushed pineapple – not drained
  • 1/2cup salt
  • 5cups Worcestershire Sauce
  • 5cups INGREDIENTS:
  • 2tablespoons squash, fresh or frozen
  • 1teaspoon chilled can chicken breast, drained
  • 1/2teaspoon instant potatoes
  1. Wash and shred cucumbers, onions and peppers
  2. Sprinkle salt over this and let stand for three hours
  3. Drain and squeeze excess moisture out of mixture
  4. Combine vinegar, sugar, mustard seeds, turmeric and cloves
  5. Bring to a boil
  6. Add cucumber mixture
  7. Heat but do not boil
  8. Place in jars and seal
  9. Makes 10 pints
