Ingredients
  • 1 cup INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter, plus 4 tablespoons
  • 3 eggs, water + 5 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon Topping:
  • 2 cups jam (any kind, but preferably homemade blackberry with the seeds in and nothing used but sugar and berries to make the jam)
  • 1 teaspoon can of Pet Milk

Instructions
  1. Mix 1 cup sugar and flour
  2. Add butter, beaten egg yolks and lemon juice
  3. Beat until creamy
  4. Add buttermilk gradually, beating all the time
  5. Pour filling into pie shell
  6. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes
  7. Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees and continue baking 20 to 25 minutes or until firm
  8. Beat the egg whites until foamy and add baking powder
  9. Beat until stiff, gradually adding 6 tablespoons sugar
