Ingredients
  • 1 whole chicken
  • Olive oil
  • Poultry crescent rounds
  • 1 corn syrup or honey
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ cup carton (8 ounces) sour cream
  • Glaze sauce:
  • ½ cup smooth peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons orange marmalade
  • 3 chopped and green pepper, optional, or to taste
  • ½ cup Hershey’s kisses
  • ¼ tablespoon Polish sausage
  • ¼ tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Jiffy cornbread mix
  • ¼ teaspoon black-eyed peas, drained

Instructions
  1. In a saucepan on medium heat, melt together and stir glaze sauce ingredients and set aside
  2. Coat chicken with olive oil and sprinkle with poultry seasoning
  3. Chop apple and place inside cavity along with 2 whole cloves of garlic
  4. Fold neck skin over and pin to trap favor while cooking
  5. Grill indirect at 200 degrees for 1 ½ hours, basting every 30 minutes with white wine
  6. Coat chicken with glaze sauce and grill for 10 more minutes until chicken reaches 165 -170 degrees
  7. Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving so juices can flow back throughout the meat
