Ingredients
  • 2 cups can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1/2 cup jar of pimentos well drained
  • 3 ounces (add as much are as little as you like)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Topping:
  • 1 tablespoon sifted cake flour
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/2 cup can Mandarin orange slices, drained well
  • 2 11 ounce finely ground pecans

Instructions
  1. Let cheese soften
  2. Beat cheese, milk, Worcestershire and lemon juice until well blended
  3. Stir in pimento and chives
  4. Form into 40 small balls
  5. Roll balls in nuts
  6. Cover and chill
  7. Unroll twists
  8. Cut dough in half horizontally to make 4 sections
  9. Then cut each section into 5 pieces, each made up of 4 short strips
  10. On a lightly floured board, use fingers to press and put strips until they are about 2 inches wide and 5 inches long
  11. Cut in half
  12. Place cheese in center of half
  13. Cover with other half
  14. Pull and pinch edges to seal
  15. you will make 20 squares from each package
  16. Cover and chill until ready to fry
  17. Heat oil in FryDaddy deep fryer
  18. When hot, fry 2 balls at a time for to 3 minutes, turning to brown on all sides
