Okra Fritters
  • ?cup cornmeal
    ? cup flour
    ? cup onion, finely chopped
    ? cup milk
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
    2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated
  1. Mix all ingredients, stirring in the okra last
  2. Preheat oil to 350 degrees
  3. Drop batter by spoonfuls; flatten a bit with the back of spoon
  4. Fry until golden brown, turning once
  5. Drain on paper towels
