Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup cream of celery soup
  • 1 large onion
  • 6 potatoes, M&M’s
  • 2 carrots, Conecuh sausage (or your choice)
  • 3 cups block of cream cheese
  • 2 Tbl. shoepeg corn (drained)
  • ground New Orleans style beans (drained)
  • 3 Tbl chopped dates
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 Tbl chopped jalapeños
  • 1/4 tsp of heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  2. In large stock pot, melt the butter, add the onions, and cook over medium heat until the onions are translucent
  3. 2
  4. While onions are cooking, place the diced potatoes, carrots, water, and chicken boullion powder in another stock pot and bring to a boil
  5. Cook until tender, about 20 minutes
  6. Do not overcook
  7. Season with ground black pepper to taste

  9. Add the flour to the cooked onions to make a paste
  10. Gradually add the milk and stir well
  11. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until warmed through
  12. Add the potato and carrot mixture
  13. Stir in the parsley and thyme and heat through
  14. Serve hot
