The second Saturday of every October finds the small town of Eclectic, AL a bustling hub of activity and excitement. In 2022, the 29th annual Alabama Cotton Festival will be held October 8th in downtown Eclectic. This festival, celebrating the impact of cotton on the founding and growth of this community, will host over 175 vendors as well as a variety of events and activities for people of all ages. There will be the 5k Cotton Run and Fun Run, the Cotton Queen Pageant (held October 1st), a dog show, Art & Photo Contest, a totally free Kids Zone, a chicken race fundraiser for our first responders, and programs provided by the Montgomery Zoo, the Alabama Wildlife Federation, Eclectic’s own K-9 unit and many more! Visit all of our 175+ vendors for a wide variety of food, crafts, and other wares. This festival continues to grow each year and the family friendly environment hosted over 12,000 visitors from states all over the southeast in 2020, the last year the festival was held. This is an event you don’t want to miss! Rain date is October 22, 2022.
